Swiss Alps tours at a glance
Most Swiss Alps tours fall into four groups. Coach tours from Zurich or Lucerne visit the villages of the Jungfrau region with a guide. A guided Jungfraujoch trip combines cable car, railway and the station at 3,454 m. A train tour from Milan crosses the Bernina area in a red train. Adventure activities in Interlaken, such as tandem paragliding and canyoning, are booked by the hour rather than by the day.
The tours on this page differ a lot in what is included. A few include rail tickets, one includes lift tickets, and others only include the transport and the guide. Read the list of inclusions before you book, and plan to pay separately for food, drinks and optional activities. All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF).

Our picks: Swiss Alps tours
The day with four hours of free time in Grindelwald suits you if you prefer free time to a fixed programme, while the Jungfraujoch day from Interlaken covers cable car and train with reserved seats. Choose the Bernina day for a train ride from Milan, or the tandem flight and the canyoning trip for something active in Interlaken.

Jungfrau region day tours
Interlaken, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen in one day by coach.
Two coach tours start in Zurich and visit Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. The guided coach tour with a professional multilingual guide includes the transport and the visits to the three places. It does not include a Jungfraujoch ticket, and neither food nor optional activities are part of it. The other tour from Zurich gives you free time at each stop: one hour in Interlaken, four hours in Grindelwald and one hour in the village of Lauterbrunnen. It includes the round trip, a guide, a bottle of water and Wi-Fi on board. Entrance tickets and activities are not included, and you can choose to be picked up and dropped off in Lucerne.
Both tours are a good way to see the region without arranging trains yourself. If you want to go further than the villages, a separate guide to Grindelwald tours and Lauterbrunnen tours covers what to do in each place. For the villages and the region as a whole, read our Bernese Oberland guide.
Jungfraujoch tours
A guided day to the railway station above the glaciers.
The guided Jungfraujoch tour from Interlaken starts at the shop on Höheweg 95. It includes a multilingual guide, the bus, the Eiger Express cable car from Grindelwald Terminal to Eigergletscher, the train ticket to the Jungfraujoch and the ride back to Lauterbrunnen. Seats are reserved and priority boarding is included. The attractions at the top, such as the Sphinx observation terrace, the plateau and the Ice Palace, depend on the weather. Meals and drinks are not included.
The Jungfraujoch lies at 3,454 m. A seat reservation for the railway was compulsory from 1 May to 31 October 2026, so check the current rule for later dates. For more about the station itself, see Jungfraujoch trips. The quick ascent does not replace acclimatisation: if you feel a headache, dizziness or nausea, go back down.
Bernina red train from Milan
Alp Grüm, the Palü Glacier and the Bernina line.
The Bernina tour from Milan starts at Milano Centrale and uses a coach for the road legs to and from the train. It includes the Bernina train ticket, a guided tour through the Bernina range, a visit to Alp Grüm and the Palü Glacier, a leisurely walk on well-marked trails and the coach round trip from Milan. Meals, drinks and hotel pick-up are not included, and a seat in a panoramic carriage is not part of the description, so do not count on one.
The Bernina line runs between Graubünden and Tirano in Italy, so take your identity document along. From 29 October to 13 November 2026 some trains are diverted via Vereina, so Albula sights are not promised for those departures. Our Bernina Express page explains the route from Chur and St. Moritz and the day trips from Milan and Como in more detail.
Adventure in Interlaken: paragliding and canyoning
Two activities that run from the town itself.
A tandem paragliding flight with a qualified pilot includes the flight, hiking boots, equipment and transport. Digital photos and videos are available to buy on site. How a flight works and what to know about the weather is on our paragliding page.
The local canyoning trip starts at the base in Wilderswil. It includes all the necessary equipment, professional guides, a free drink after the trip and changing rooms with hot showers at the base. Food and videos are not included, and tips are optional.
If you are planning several activities, our Interlaken guide shows what else the town offers around the two lakes.
Tours from Zurich
What a day out of the city can include.
A Zurich Alps tour starts at the bus station Sihlquai or another meeting point named in your booking. The two coach tours cover Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald without a Jungfraujoch ticket. Because days are long, take warm layers and some cash for food, since meals are not included. If you prefer to walk with a guide, our hiking page explains the trail markings and the guided options.
